Primary Purpose:

Primarily responsible for assisting teachers with the planning and implementation of the District's approved curriculum, instructional programs and strategies for Reading and Math.
Prerequisites:
  • Texas Teacher certificate in assigned core area.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Regularly review student profiles/class progress.
  1. Review data to determine student academic needs in the area of math and reading.
  2. Review and monitor student assessment data and progress.
  3. Meet regularly with students and teachers to review progress/student information/interventions.
  4. Work with small groups of students (5-10) needing Math and Reading interventions for 40-50 minutes, 4-5 times a week.
  5. Modify instruction and intervention based on assessment data.
  6. Develop and implement a detailed lesson plan that reflects the needs of the students being served.
  7. Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
  8. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
  1. Help students analyze and improve study methods and habits.
  2. Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
